     I bought the Express Plus package and I received an excellent service. Nora and her team guided me and my husband through each steps and made things very easy for us. She was available and responsive through the whole process and supported us in every request. Alia took care of my make up and hair stylist - she was amazing. She used top quality products and provided a top quality service. The bouquet was beautiful as it was in the photos. The flowers were fresh and lasted few days. The photographer Kharl was a star. He even helped us at the family court as we forgot to sign an important document. If it wasn’t for him, we would have left without knowing. He took amazing pictures of us - we can’t stop looking at them now! I highly recommend this agency to whoever wants to get married at the Family Court in Abu Dhabi. Top quality service for a good price. Thanks Viva Vows! ❤️

Civil Wedding FAQ

A civil marriage is the lawful union of a man and woman solemnized as a civil contract, under secular rules, regardless of faith or nationality.

It is regulated by Article 4 and 5 of the Civil Marriage Law No. 14 of 2021.

For Residents:

The conditions that must be met for the marriage application to be approved are as follows: –

Both parties must provide their consent

Both parties must be at least 18 years’ old

The parties must not be related by the first or second degree

The parties must not be married to any other person

Either party must not be a UAE national

It is possible for anyone, regardless of religion, to obtain a civil marriage other than UAE nationals.

No. Tourists are encouraged to obtain a civil marriage, regardless of where they live. You will need to travel to Abu Dhabi for the civil marriage ceremony.

The marriage ceremony takes place in the Civil Family Court in the ADJD main court building (next to Zayed Sports City). Show me.

You must also bring your passport and if you are a UAE resident, you should also bring your Emirates ID.

There is no requirement to bring a witness however you are welcome to bring family and friends to the ceremony.

Yes, but it is not mandatory. Please let the team know upon arrival if you wish to exchange rings or include your own vows.

If you opt for the Express Date Add-on, you can select the ceremony date subject to the court’s opening hours. If you select the Standard Date Add-on (which is included in this package), the court will do its best to accommodate your request but it is subject to availability.

The marriage ceremonies may take place on the following dates and times:

Monday to Thursday: 9:00am-1:30pm
Friday: 9:00am-11:00am

During Ramadan All appointments are subject to the courts availability and are allocated a 30-minute time slot. Times may vary during Ramadan and the Court is closed during public holidays and on weekends.

The Court aims to conduct marriage ceremonies within 15 minutes.

Yes, you may take pictures during the marriage ceremony and it is possible add Photographer or/ and Videographer from the Extra Add-on section.

Yes, you can bring guests with you to the marriage ceremony.

When you receive your marriage certificate, it is recommended that you get it notarised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We can guide you through this process if you wish.

Yes, it is possible for Muslims to use the civil marriage service as long as they are not a citizen of the UAE.

Civil marriage is like any other official marriage; it is approved and issued by the Court and will then need to be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If you have any concerns, you should contact your embassy. We can guide you through this process if you wish.

Refund, Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Refund Policy:
Our refund policy is designed to ensure fairness and transparency to all our customers. Due to the irreversible initiation of service delivery processes upon purchase, we regret that we are unable to offer refunds once services have commenced.

Cancellation Policy:
In the event of cancellation by the couple, Viva Wows Event Management company retains all payments received and no refunds will be issued. We kindly ask for notification of cancellation as soon as possible to allow for necessary adjustments. We understand unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we remain committed to providing support and alternative solutions wherever possible. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation

Service Date Rescheduling:
Service date rescheduling is permissible free of charge within the same calendar year as the original service date.
Note: Rescheduling service date is based on availability from our vendors.

Wedding Date Rescheduling:
Wedding date rescheduling is permissible free of charge within the same calendar year as the original wedding date.
